More to the dress

The wedding dress is one of the dream dresses for girls, the matric dance dress playing a close second. But when it all boils down to reason and sense, how much is too much to spend on a wedding dress or does one dare to even place a price on the "dress of my dreams"? You do only get married once or in some cases get married for the first time once, after all.

Some brides clearly feel that there is no price too much for the ultimate dress of there dreams, sparing no costs and no resources. As much as there were dresses more expensive than the ones I have chosen, however the materials used to make these dress is what made them stick and catch my interest.

After browsing through a few months websites my top three favourite dresses in no specific order will have to be: Danasha Luxury Gown worth $ 1.5 million, among other materials made with 250grams of 18k gold and Belgium diamonds.
The other being: The diamond  Wedding Dress worth $12 million, with 150 carats of diamonds.
Finally the: Platinum Wedding Dress valued at $250 000, made with actual platinum. This is one of my favorite owing to the amount of fine detail on the dress.

What I loved about these dresses apart from design, is ultimately how the designer incorporated the metal and in some cases gemstones to create an attire which would be priceless and beautiful. Once again proving that no one material is to be limited to one specific design discipline, that design is all about constant recreation in ways which improve what already is.
