The price you have to pay

The following subject I would like to narrate is the subject of labola or dowry, which is not just popular but a compulsory stage of marriage especially in the African and Indian cultures.  These days however, there seems to be a divide when it comes to the topic as many no longer see the significance of the practice. Some of the major causes for this division is that the present generation regard this practice as primitive and many women view it as discriminating; for can one truly place a price on the worth of a person, in this case a woman. Some consider this practice to not just be primitive but as offensive as the modern women hate the idea that she can be in some ways viewed as commodity which can be priced and then exchanged off to another family.

There is a lot involved in this process and above that there are a lot of cultural consequences to the practice, there is therefore a need to include the bridal price my research, even if it is a brief overview of the subject.
