This
is the one category which I would say I most stay away from due to my faith,
funny enough. For one, as much as the cross may be a popular Christian symbol,
personally I do believe in using crosses within my design not any other symbols
which are associated with Christianity; this is a result of research into their
actual history. I do believe that jewellery could be used to possess spiritual
entities, spells may be placed on the jewellery and that some gemstones may be
connected to the occult and therefore the piece would be a doorway in which
these spiritual rituals and connections are devised. Therefore for this reason
alone, I do not dabble in using such symbols and have become more vigilant when
it comes to using some gemstones and symbols in my work. However, when trying
to portray a spiritual message, I would and try to focus more on Biblical
meaning of colours, and other elements so as to express a given theme. However
the jewellery serves as a reminder rather than a protection piece
