I have been experimenting with the idea of carving some of my CAD, Rhino designs by hand.I have not done any carving since y training and had decided to play around and see if I could remind my hands of the skill or if it was even still there.
This is a picture of the first few stages of the carving. At this point I had given the ring its ring size and had roughly traced out the measurements onto the ring wax.
This is a picture of the side view of the ring, once I had done the preliminary carvings for the ring.
This 8is the top view of the ring, with an emerald cut gemstone placed upside down in the centre. This is merely to help aid with visual depiction as to how the ring will look with a gemstone.
This is the front view of the ring with a mandrel placed inside it.
I will be posting more on the development of this ring.
