I have been looking through the bride in history and I found myself thinking: "thats an old fashion and sexist point of view." But reality is that the word bride does come from the word "bru", which basically means to cook, brew, or make a broth. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bride
Now to some extent you could concluded that this helped usher the female role which many try to fight or oppose to this day. I am not sure as yet how other cultures viewed the bride, but I will be finding out. This has also given me an idea and the title for the first poem I want to write for this series of works: "The eyes of the bride" and "The bride in His-story"
Now to continue with the research.
