I had decided to try to substitute the bottom weaving which is in the picture on the left with silver. In order to try to achieve the same appearance of the netted beading I had previously made, I took Chris's suggestion and played around with some weaving. I have included pictures of some of my weaving experiments below.
This is a picture of the next wire weave I had decided to try out. With this one I had decided to try to use less wire and do a small sample rather than a use long wire.
I then went on to weave with copper wire, making a lot of test samples. The picture on the left is two of the Viking weave samples I was practicing.
