Once I was done ironing out the problems involved with
connecting the two individual woven patterns, I was the able to begin working
with silver wire, as seen in the picture below.
I then went ahead and started with the adding the beads onto
the woven neckpiece. The pictures below show the beginning stages of the inclusion of beads to the woven silver
piece.
I then went to start adding more of the beading on and while I was doing this I started to think about the fact that the poem doesn't merely depict a caged bird, but also a flightless one. The partly done beading just seemed to capture this.
